Do These Sony Playstation 3 Games Justify Buying a PS3?
Does the Sony Playstation 3's slogan 'Play B3yond' bring to mind the best visuals? Or the best gaming experience? Or perhaps both?
As can be expected from a console that incorporates the latest cutting-edge technology, the Sony Playstation 3 features an impressive lineup of games that feature some of the best visuals in gaming today. Some games have really done an excellent job of showcasing the amazing graphics that are possible with the Playstation 3's advanced technology. You would be hard-pressed to find a game with skin textures as lifelike as those in Fight Night: Round 3. Even the distorted faces from landing punches are extremely lifelike. Also, few games can recreate the gritty atmosphere of a battlefield in the same way that Call of Duty 3 does. The graphics are so realistic that even the most experienced and jaded gamers find their instincts being stirred.
The following is a list of the Sony Playstation games that are "must-haves":
Call of Duty 3
One of the most highly anticipated games, Call of Duty 3 puts gamers in control of a young soldier in the midst of a World War, determined to make a difference in the war by doing his part. The atmosphere created in Call of Duty 3 is so realistic that you could easily become completely immersed in it, and forget that you are not really on a battlefield far from home. If you own or are planning to buy a Sony Playstation console, you should put this game at the top of your list of games to buy.
Fight Night: Round 3
Some of the best visuals in the gaming world can be found in games created by game developer EA Sports. With an impressive lineup of games that includes titles like NBA Live, FIFA, Madden, and many more, EA Sports has added Fight Night: Round 3 to it as well. What sets this game apart from the others in its genre is the degree of realism to be found in the skin textures of characters in the game. Even knockout replays are so real that gamers may become slightly disturbed by the sight of characters' faces being deformed by repeated blows. This is a title that sports fans must own.
Genji: Days of the Blade
Unfortunately, this game has a severe lack of anything to hold a player's interest, making it a supremely bland offering. What it lacks in game play, however, it makes up for with the best visuals to be found on any Sony Playstation 3 title. If you watched Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children and were impressed by the visuals, then you should buy this game. The Japanese characters in the game are so lifelike that playing it is just like watching a good CGI animation.
A list of the better games available for the Sony Playstation 3 would include titles like Call of Duty 3, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Fight Night: Round 3. Other games are nowhere near as good as these. The question to ask yourself now is whether these games justify spending $600 on a Sony Playstation 3. Perhaps they are, or perhaps not.
The success of the Playstation 3 console is dependent on the success of its games, and if consumers fail to be impressed by the games available for the Playstation 3, then the console's produced by the Playstation 3's competition are but a step away.
